Summary:
Responsible for leading by example and encouraging adherence to our guiding principles and compliance standards.  As a Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for assigned duties while participating in our continuous improvement projects to broaden our core Quality Assurance functions for Tribe 9 Foods.

Hours and Work Schedule:

The work schedule is Monday – Friday from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, occasional weekend work and overtime is required.

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $60,000 a year
 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organic, Kosher, GFCO, and any additional certifications by ensuring all supplier certificates are up to date and all required documents have been submitted and approved by certification bodies.
  • Assist in audits for Organic, Kosher, and GFCO.
  • Assist in reviewing and making changes as needed on all Forms, HACCP, PRP’s, SOP’s, SSOP’s, and Work Instructions in both English and Spanish.
  • Help ensure that materials that come in follow certification requirements.
  • Participate in internal audits for either GMP’s or as specified.
  • Support QA Manager as needed in establishing and maintaining raw material specifications.
  • Help maintain supplier approval program by updating master supplier list and requesting all necessary documentation.
  • Maintain the TraceGains software via continuous monitoring of database and audit documents as they become due or as requested.
  • Participate in annual training of employees in Food Safety subjects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Quality Assurance Manager.

Specific qualifications for the role include:

  • Highly detail oriented.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor of Science preferred, but relevant work experience may be considered.
  • Proficient with Excel and Word.
  • Knowledge of Organic, Kosher, and GFCO certification systems is a plus.
  • Certified in HACCP, PCQI, or SQF is a plus.
  • Good Communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Must be fluent in English, fluency in Spanish is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing facility that produces products with allergen ingredients.
  • Availability to work flexible hours as required.
